DESCRIPTION

 

FR6000M is a highly effective reaction-type P, N, Br composite flame retarding masterbatch, which is designed to be used in polymerized Polypropylene (HOPP).

Compared to the traditional Bromine based flame retardants (Decabromodiphenyl Ether, Tetrabromobisphenol A, Tetrabromobisphenol A bis(2,3-Dibromopropyl ether), TBC etc.) , FR6000M has a lower required addition quantity, which allows higher filler addition quantity and consequently is more economically effective. In addition, FR6000M does not need Antimony Trioxide as synergizing agent in the modification formulation, while keeping the Bromine content at a very low level (near halogen free in the modified polypropylene). Furthermore, FR6000M is nontoxic, nonreactive to colorant and other addictives, and has a good processing thermal stability and good resistance to water and light. Lastly, modified polypropylene with FR6000M shows no sign of precipitation in prolonged time.

 

FR6000M can be used with HOPP directly for injection molding, extrusion molding and other molding processing.

FEATURES

 

Apply 3% to 5% FR6000M by weight to HOPP with no filler and 5% to 8% FR6000M by weight to HOPP with 10% to 20% of filler. Addition of Barium Sulfate or Talcum Powder as filler is allowed.Unlike many other flame retardants sold in today's market, the flame retarding performance of FR6000M is immune to black masterbatch. In addition, FR6000M is nonreactive to UV stabilizer and antioxidant, which keeps the performances of UV stabilizer and antioxidant intact.

 

In addition to HOPP, FR6000M can also be directly applied to thermoplastic elastomers such as TPO from Basel or Exxon.

 

NOTES

 

Please use EBS as lubricant in a production formulation. Avoid using PE wax, Zinc Stearate, Calcium Stearate and Stearic Acid as lubricant otherwise foaming may take place on product surface.

 

FR6000M is not allowed to be used with DBDPO, BDDP or other Bromine based flame retardants. Otherwise, color of product may turn dull and grey.

25 kilograms net weight per plastic woven bag. Ship and store as non-toxic and non-dangerous goods. Keep out of water and damp.
