DESCRIPTION

 

FR500 (HES-FR) is a Sulfonate based high efficient flame retardant for PC and PC/ABS alloy. FR500 is designed to make Halogen and Phosphorus free UL94 V-0 grade flame retarding PC and PC/ABS alloy. Compared to the main stream PC flame retardant KSS, FR500's required addition quantity is only 25% of that of KSS. The significantly lower addition quantity gives FR500 an edge on overall cost. In addition, FR500 synergizes with BDP, RDP in reinforcing flame retarding efficiency, thus can significantly reduce PC/ABS alloy's BDP, RDP addition quantity by about 40%. As a result, PC/ABS alloy's thermostability, impact resistance and hydrolysis resistance are improved, and the overall cost is further reduced.
