FR100 Halogen-free Expansion-type Flame Retardant for PP

DESCRIPTION
FR100 is an environmentally friendly Halogen-free, Phosphorus and Nitrogen based flame retardant for PP. When on fire, products made of FR100-modified PP form a tight carbon layer instantly on the surfaces. This carbon layer effectively shields the combustible PP masterbatch from the touch of air and blocks heat transfer, at the same time inhibits fume formation. FR100 is Halogen-free thus there is no Hydrogen Halide formed. FR100 conforms to RoHS, REACH 73 and SONY's requirements for environmental protections. It is one of today's best flame retardants for UL94 V-0 modification of PP.
 
FEATURES
FR100 is compatible with PP, PE and EVA and doesn't immigrate and precipitate in these masterbatches. FR100 has a good water resistance. Products modified by FR100 can pass UL 746C's 70 ℃ x 168 hours water treatment test. FR100 doesn't weaken PP's mechanical properties.
   
PP modified by FR100 doesn't drip on fire and can pass UL 94 V-0 (0.75mm) test. FR100 doesn't react with light stabilizer.
   
PP modified by FR100 has a density of lower than 1.03g/cm3. When on fire, PP modified by FR100 has a relatively low volume of fume formation and doesn't release any hydrogen halide.
   
Addition of POE in the masterbatchs as toughening agent doesn't have any unfavorable effect on FR100's flame retarding efficiency.

NOTES
FR100 improves resin's fluidity. Thus, when extruding, keep the front end temperature as low as possible. Processing temperature under 200℃ is preferable.
   
Only coupling agent (for example, NT201, addition amount of 0.3% by weight) is needed for the full functioning of FR100. If addition of other additives is needed, please run experimental tests in small scale before using the formulation for mass production.
   
Please maintain a dry processing environment for the full functioning of FR100. If affected with damp, please dry out the formulation mixture to the extent of lower than 0.25 % (by weight) of water content prior to use.
   
Additions of low quality carbon black and some organic pigments weaken the flame retarding performance of FR100. To make products with black color, black printing ink is recommended as coloring agent.
 
PACKAGING & SHIPPING
25 kilograms net weight per plastic woven bag. Ship and store as non-toxic and non-dangerous goods. Keep out of water and damp.
