DESCRIPTION
FR1240 is a P, N composite based, highly effective Halogen-free flame retardant. It is similar to OP1240 from Clariant in terms of performances.
FEATURES
An ideal substitute for imported products such as OP1240 from Clariant.
Halogen-free; Fully comply with RoHS.
P, N composite based; content of P larger than 30%.
High thermal stability; High flame retarding performance;
Modified material with 17% - 20% FR1240 and 25% - 30% glass fibers easily meets requirements for UL-94 V-0 grade (1.6 mm). In addition, modified material with FR1240 has
excellent electrical properties with a CTI value of over 600 volts.Widely applicable to the flame retarding modification of PBT, PET, PA, PBT/PET alloy, TPE and TPU etc..
Products made from FR1240 modified material have very smooth surfaces.

NOTES
Dry under 95℃ for 2-3 hours before use;
Before adding FR1240, apply small amount of white oil to PBT to reduce friction during mixing;
Weak shearing is preferable during screw extruder processing.
For the existence of high concentration of Phosphor, processed material first coming out of screw extruder die head may catch fire, which is normal. In this situation, proceed and fire will go out after pelletizing.
